Answers For Your Journey
YOU ask WE answer!
- 01A valid passport with an expiration date no less than six months after the return date of the Journey is required and we recommend you also have three blank pages inside your passport. A copy of your passport needs to be submitted to ON THE WAY INSPIRATIONAL JOURNEYS before you travel with us - there are no exceptions to this policy - thank you for your kind understanding. We strongly recommend that you keep a separate photo copy of your passport with you should anything happen to your actual passport.
- 02Travel insurance is required to attend our Journeys and proof of the insurance must be submitted to our GUEST JOURNEYS DESK at least 14 Days after you register for your trip. This must include emergency medical evacuation. There are many reliable companies that you may secure the insurance through such as Travel Insured International (which we use) or Travel Guard. This covers travel interruptions and the land package part of your trip and medical. Kindly note - Flight Insurance is separate and usually available when purchasing your airline ticket.
- 03Your hotel is included in your Journey Package for the dates of the tour. If you would like to book additional nights before or after the tour dates, you need to do so on your own. If you need assistance with this, kindly connect with our GUEST JOURNEYS DESK and we'll connect you with our International Tour Partners who can assist.
- 04All deposits are non-refundable. Other payments made are refundable up to 90 days before the tour; however, registrations are transferable for a $100 fee for the first guest in your group and a $50 fee for the second and third guests in your group. If you have any questions regarding your registration, please get in touch with our GUEST JOURNEYS DESK directly.

- 07Yes, you should have both names when booking; however, if you don’t know the name of your travelling companion, please get in touch with our GUEST JOURNEYS DESK directly to determine if an exception may be arranged. Kindly Note: ON THE WAY INSPIRATIONAL JOURNEYS unfortunately CANNOT find or assign roommates for you.

- 09As we host Land Only Tours, we do not provide Airport-Hotel-Airport Transfers included in your package; there are ground transfers available from the airport to the hotel you can acquire on your own if needed. However, should you choose, we can work with our International Travel Partners to arrange a private transfer for you. A kind reminder our tours begin at the hotel at check in. During your tour, we have modern air-conditioned motor coaches that will be available daily for you to the touring sites & group meals.
- 10We encourage you to inform your health insurance provider that you will be travelling out of the country and to determine your coverage and medical care options while on your Journey. It is recommend you keep a separate list of your medications on your person throughout your journey should anything happen and you need attention and you're not able to communicate.
- 11
- 12Kindly advise our GUEST JOURNEYS DESK if you have any physical disabilities that may limit your mobility during the trip (e.g. getting in/out of the motor coach, walking distances, etc.); we can work on your behalf with our International Travel Partners to attempt reasonable accommodations for you. Kindly Note: ON THE WAY INSPIRATIONAL JOURNEYS cannot be responsible to assist in daily care of any travellers with disabilities (e.g. push wheelchairs, medications, etc.) due to the limited staff and their responsibilities. If you require someone to assist you, kindly make these arrangements on your own prior to the journey (e.g. travel with a friend receptive to helping).

- 15Please check with your mobile service provider to determine if you will need to purchase an International Plan to use your phone during the trip. WhatsApp is a widely used communication app you may find helpful and it can be downloaded prior to your journey. Be careful you keep your mobile device in Airplane Mode as much as possible to avoid costly data roaming charges unless this is included in your phone plan.
- 16$USD are widely accepted in many countries around the world, particularly as tips and in the street markets, however, most countries do not accept $USD. You may consider using your credit/debit card to obtain currency at ATMs and Exchange Sites while travelling, though we recommend to acquire the foreign currency prior to travel. Most international hotels, restaurants, and merchants accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discovery cards (AMEX less so, depends on the business). Lastly, a reminder to notify your credit card institution / bank that you'll be travelling to limit the opportunity of spending interruptions.
